Now in its third generation, The Marcus Organization has grown from being a successful full service construction management and general contracting firm, to being a leader in real estate development and acquisition. Now under the family of MARCUS, the Marcus Building Company and Marcus Equity offer a comprehensive approach to development and construction.

Headquartered in New York for years, MARCUS now has expanded its offices to Texas, Florida, and St. Louis. EXECUTIVE TEAM

 

JONATHAN MARCUS

President, CEO of Marcus Building Co and Marcus Equity

Jonathan Marcus serves as President and CEO of both Marcus Building Company and Marcus Equity.  In this role he oversees all real estate development, investment, construction,  and the overall day-to-day operations of both divisions.  He is involved in client relationships, new project sourcing and financial structuring. 

Jonathan began his career in the Marcus family business in project and construction management.  Over the past twenty four years he has played a leading role in in the completion of Industrial buildings, Warehouses, Medical Facilities, Food Facilities, Self-Storage Facilities and Multi-Family communities in Massachusetts, New York, Texas and Florida.

Jonathan received his degree from Boston University and currently lives in Austin, Texas.

 

ARNOLD MARCUS

CEO, The Marcus Organization / Marcus Equities

Arnold Marcus has completed commercial construction projects over the past 40 years in excess of 30,000,000 square feet, including Industrial, Medical, Office, Pharmaceutical, Food Service, and Residential Development. Marcus has successfully completed projects in states, including Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Missouri, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Florida.

 

DENNIS YOUNG

Director of Multi-Family Design and Development

Dennis works in various capacities for Marcus Equity.  He has more than 35 years of experience in construction and real estate development in both Massachusetts and Texas.    He provides a spectrum of value- added services to investors, developers and occupiers.  His experience encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including site development, cost analysis, project design and implementation and site administration.

 Dennis received his Bachelor in Architecture degree from Texas Tech University and holds a Master’s degree in Leadership from Rockbridge Seminary. He is also an LEED Accredited Professional.

 

RICHARD SCALIA

Director of Construction

Richard Scalia has been a construction project manager with Marcus since 2007. Richard received his Bachelor of Architecture from The Pratt Institute of Design in New York, and has over 30 years of experience working in the construction management industry. His project work includes various types of construction from Health and Industrial to Office and Multi-family. He currently oversees multiple projects in four states and is dedicated to ensuring a successful delivery of all of them.

 

CAROL ALIPERTI

Executive Operations Director

Carol has been working with Marcus since 1996. Over the years she has had various roles including Assistant to the Comptroller, Contracts Administrator and the manager for four successful self-storage facilities. In her current role as operational support to the senior executives, Ms. Alperti works to facilitate a smooth and precise flow of communication and tasks that are part of the unpredictable, and often hectic, day to day environment of project development and construction. She is a self motivated individual with strong organizational and administrative skills and practices unquestionable discretion when needed.
